Tori Amos, geboren als Myra Ellen Amos am 22. August 1963, ist eine renommierte US - amerikanische Musikerin und Singer - Songwriterin. Ihr erstes Album unter dem Namen Y Kant Tori Read erschien 1988, fand jedoch nicht den erhofften Anklang. Der Wendepunkt kam mit ihrem Album "Little Earthquakes" im Jahr 1992, das sie mit Hits wie "Silent All These Years" und "Me and a Gun" - einem Lied über ihre eigene Vergewaltigungserfahrung - etablierte.
