Prince, auch bekannt als TAFKAP (The Artist Formerly Known As Prince), war ein einflussreicher amerikanischer Sänger, Songwriter und Multiinstrumentalist. Geboren am 7. Juni 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, wurde er für seine vielseitigen Musikstile und spektakulären Live - Auftritte bekannt. Sein Album "Purple Rain" (1984) gilt als eines der besten Alben aller Zeiten und brachte ihm internationalen Ruhm. Prince war bekannt für seine innovativen und oft provokanten Texte sowie sein außergewöhnliches Talent an der Gitarre und anderen Instrumenten. Er veröffentlichte zahlreiche Alben und Hits wie "When Doves Cry", "Kiss" und "Raspberry Beret". Prince starb tragisch am 21. April 2016, hinterließ jedoch ein unvergessliches musikalisches Erbe.
