Paul McCartney (geboren am 18. Juni 1942 in Liverpool, England) ist ein britischer Musiker, Sänger, Songwriter und einer der einflussreichsten Künstler der Rockgeschichte. Er wurde als Bassist und Sänger der legendären Band The Beatles berühmt, gemeinsam mit John Lennon, George Harrison und Ringo Starr. McCartney schrieb zahlreiche Hits wie "Hey Jude", "Let It Be" und "Yesterday", die zeitlose Klassiker geworden sind. Nach der Auflösung der Beatles im Jahr 1970 startete er eine erfolgreiche Solokarriere und gründete die Band Wings, mit der er weitere Hits wie "Band on the Run" und "Live and Let Die" feierte.
